The holiday hiatus for the Stranger Things team is finally over! And that means that the final leg of the Upside Down journey has officially begun. Last year, the Duffer brothers stirred quite the excitement amongst fans with frequent updates regarding its pre-production details. Now, images from the filming sets have finally arrived on the Internet from the fifth installment’s, steaming up the roof-hitting anticipation once more. 

The final stretch of 2023 irresistibly caught fans in a split when the creators announced their farewell to Atlanta. However, now that the vacation spirit has settled down, their return to Hawkins could not have been more on time. Snaps from the arrival of production trucks at the Hawkins High School have emerged. Along with this, Stranger Things News outlet on X, formerly Twitter, also declared that Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, and Natalia Dyer have already started shooting for season 5.

In the latter announcement, the outlet shared a picture collage involving stills, which includes Steve Harrington, Eddie Munson, Robin Buckley, and Nancy Wheeler. Since Munson’s picture was quite unexpected to the fans, given his death in the last season and Jonathan’s was missing, a nail-biting situation was sure to ensue. From the looks of it, the picture was supposedly from season 4 itself. However, the reason behind Munson’s snap being used for the declaration remains classified. 

For the fans, theories, questions, and relief—all seemed to be at play at the same time. Needless to say, the thrill came with the high rise of the tide. 

Fans go berserk over Stranger Things Season 5 filming snaps

The one-of-a-kind show, Stranger Things, is moving the rocks of the 1980s to the late phase of the Cold War. As the cliffhangers of the last season finally await the uncovering, one can begin to see beyond the gates opening between Indiana. And the production trucks are enough of a teaser to leave the fans wanting more.

That being said, the question of Eddie Munson’s picture still raises concern. Whether it is regarding the filming of a flashback or his entire return remains undercover.

There is no doubt that Stranger Things is coming back with a gang. For the most part, the assurance has been given with the repetitive throwing of light regarding the same from the team itself. Although 2024 has only commenced, one cannot help but await 2025’s incoming with gleaming eyes and cooking eagerness as the last dance stands not too far down the line.
