The science fiction show Stranger Things season 5 has already generated a lot of buzz. Whether it be about its fifth and final season still being miles away from release or Millie Bobby Brown finally being ready to move on from her iconic role as Eleven. However, even though the OG cast is saying farewell to their iconic roles, the Duffer brothers have other plans and are all set to bring a new Stranger Things project to their home turf.

With Netflix’s super popular series still facing postponement due to the WGA and SAG-AFRA, fans can cheer up with Stranger Things on Stage. Especially now that it is reaching Brown’s homeland.

Stranger Things in a different light

The streaming giant Netflix announced in 2022 that it would be stepping into the new arena of live theater with the Stranger Things-inspired play The First Shadow. Penned by producer Kate Trefy and directed by critically acclaimed Oscar-nominated filmmaker Stephen Daldry, the play has fans excited. Adding to it is the news of its premiere at The Phoenix Theatre in the Enola Homes actress’s hometown of London on November 17.

The official page of Stranger Things on Stage made the announcement of the premiere through a post on Twitter, now X. The said post features a video showing the many displays of the play’s promotional posters across London. As per the website of Stranger Things on Stage, fans can catch the shows of the play at Phoenix Theatre in London, with tickets available for shows from November 17 to August 25, 2024 for afternoon and evening shows.

As the story of the show is set 30 years ago and will focus on the original cast members much younger selves, they will not reprise their roles. In their place, several new faces will grace the viewers.

Who will feature in the play?

In the constantly changing sphere of Stranger Things, one thing is certain: their commitment to perfect casting. In Stranger Things: The First Shadow, the outstanding cast includes Louis McCartney (as Henry Creel), Ella Karuna Williams (as Patty Newby), and Patrick Vaill (as Dr. Brenner). Furthermore, Oscar Lloyd (as Jim Hopper), Isabella Pappas (as Joyce Maldonado), Christopher Buckley (as Bob Newby), and several others. These actors will be portraying the beloved characters in a new light.

The much-awaited show is all set to hit the stage at the end of this year and has already generated buzz around it. The huge fanbase of the beloved series is eager to know what the creators have in store for them.
