Speaking with Screen Rant, Brett Gelman shared updates on the Stranger Things finale while promoting his new Apple TV+ show Lady in the Lake. He reported that filming is going great, promising fans an epic finale. “I think the fans — you included — will be very happy with season five,” he said, hinting at the teasers. Adding to it, he confessed this season is probably "the most secretive thing" he has worked on.
Speaking of teasers, Brett Gelman pointed at a traditional rollout of teaser releases before the season premiere. “You'll probably get some teasers, a couple of teasers,” said the star, before fans go the big way to find out what is going to happen at the show. Gelman’s comments indicate that the American streamer might start promoting the final installment of the sci-fi thriller anytime soon.
Nonetheless, the production of the entire season has a long way to go, or so said the co-stars in recent interviews.

Production on Stranger Things Season 5 faced significant delays due to the writers' and actors' strikes in 2023, pushing the start of filming to January 2024. The wait, however, has finally ended, and the cast has begun working on the final season. Filming is expected to finish between December 2024 and January 2025. Maya Hawke had also previously expressed filming details and also her emotional take from filming the last season.
Maya Hawke described the experience as "heartbreaking" since it marks the last time the cast will work together while also warning of its delayed release. Despite the delay, the cast's enthusiasm remains high, with Brett Gelman recently sharing positive updates on the show's progress.
