In her latest interview with Netflix Queue, Sarah Hindsgaul opened up about the looks she gave to characters in the penultimate season. During the conversation, she also talked about the handsome heartthrob Steve. For his entrance into the alternate dimension of Hawkins, the artist chopped his hair and highlighted them, too. “It’s also less blow-dried, and we put a little more texture, trying a little more of a bad boy look,” Hindsgaul said.
Hindsgaul changed his hair this time turning him from a certified babysitter to the bad guy that he was in season 1. We all know that fans have remained obsessed with his big, tousled head of hair for a long time. So this was certainly a huge change the character got while stepping into the most terrifying part of the story. In season 4, Steve’s hair was not as fluffy as before and it got more lengthy, signifying the 80s era fashion.
Unlike most of his fans, the actor himself has a very different opinion about it. In fact, he does not understand why people are so mad about his look in the show.

In his interview with Daily Beast last year, Kerry shared his opinion about the excitement surrounding Harrington’s 80s-inspired hairdo. He said that he cannot control what people think about the hair and it is just the internet that has created hype and it does not interest him even a bit. “I can’t really knock it. I have a career, so I have to be like, ‘Who cares? I’ll take it.’ But it’s also not something I care about at all,” he added.
He finds it quite stupid to remain fixated on one topic the whole time. While the 31-year-old might not be as fascinated as fans are, it is undeniable that he has a gorgeous hair texture.
