Morbid fantasies, thrill, and plot make the base of the board game called Stranger Things: Upside Down. The Twitter profile of its show writers shared a unique card from the game, possessing a dark past. Every person playing the game takes on a character, as they fight together against the Hawkins lab. There is a special Barb Holland card that one can use to save themselves and would kill her. It allows for the character to die for the survival of others, almost similar to her character’s fate in the series.

The beloved character is killed right in the first season in a very brutal and non-merciful way. She was best friends with Nancy Wheeler when the latter left her alone at a party one night. Sitting by the pool, Demogorgon finds her instead and makes her his next victim. Her character is forgotten until season 4 when Wheeler is shown to have guilt and remorse about losing her friend.

Since the next season is far from its release, with actors keeping mum, fans are just excited to be playing the Stranger Things board game. But there are those who feel the injustice of killing her off so quickly.

One posted photos of Holland with Wheeler to show their bond, and how the latter sacrificed herself to create a plot for the show.

Fans are also mocking the writers for being shocked over this card, especially since they were the ones who wrote the plot, and the game is simply following it.
