The Duffer Brothers left no stone unturned, making sure that the story gradually moved in the right direction of intrigue and build-up. In what marked the first step to success back in 2016, Ross Duffer took to his Instagram stories and shared behind-the-scenes photos from the first season finale. The first among the two showcased the array of Christmas lights and the supernatural inklings about to begin in front of Will Bryer’s house. Meanwhile, the second one stood as one direct callback.
Holding a hammer in his hands, Joe Keery’s Steve Harrington stood aside Natalia Dyer’s Nancy Wheeler and Charlie Heaton’s Jonathan Bryce. The photo dialed back to the moment when the Upside Down came calling as Will tried to communicate with his mother using flickering lights. Soon after, the Demogorgon came loose in the Byers house and kick-started the character development of the former high-school jock to one of the beloved characters in the show.
In the meantime, the fifth season of the show has received its own set of updates from the creators as one fan theory went loose and viral.
Duffer Brothers put an end to one of the leading season five theories
Soon after the SAG-AFTRA strikes ended, Jim Hopper actor David Harbour gave out a slew of filming updates on Stranger Things season five. Not only was he called onto the set within ten minutes, but Netflix and producer Shawn Levy were hard at work taking the show toward “cinematic storytelling”. However, one leading fan theory that the season would end with “It was all a dream” ending stood disapproved by the creators.

Casting calls made by the show pointed at a gargantuan world-building in line with Levy’s comments. Additionally, with the final season sealing the fates of several characters and leaving the possibility of any spin-offs bare, the hype has surpassed its hold. In all likelihood, after filming and post-production, Stranger Things season five may drop on Netflix by the summer of 2025.
