‘Stranger Things’ Co-Creator Ross Duffer Gives the First Look at Nancy Wheeler From the Final Season
After months of delays and anticipation, a first look at Stranger Things season five, though behind-the-scenes has appeared, courtesy of Ross Duffer. The co-creator dropped a carousel of photos on his Instagram, which teased a slew of hidden details as to what lay in store for fans. The very first slide opened with a shot of Natalia Dyer’s Nancy Wheeler looking across a window and donning a denim jacket with a short, curled hair look. Captioned as “Weeks 5-6,” the post hinted that the filming had remained in place for at least that amount of time.
The schedule also happens to match the filming updates brewing out on the Internet. Regardless, the very next slide had a shot of Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven’s 011 tattoo, followed by nods and hints at the likely unfolding of events. A huge ‘H’ placed over the Lover’s lake, a shot of the brothers tending to a barbeque on-set, and a bowl filled with marbles for each day of the shoot, counted up as notable highlights, hyping the incoming final season of the show.

A comment left from the show’s official handle highlighting “NANCY,” sparked rampant speculations. Season four of Stranger Things left Nancy Wheeler under Vecna’s trance with the big bad, using her to impart a vision to foretell a menacing future to Eleven. Thus, the comment left many fans on the edge. Vecna potentially coming for Wheeler as his next target would lend a painful end to her just-blossomed romance with Jonathan.
As of now, regardless of any theories, season five of the show stays set to be the deadliest iteration ever.

The incoming final season of the Netflix hit fantasy thriller will have Vecna and Eleven go toe-to-toe with the former resorting to any means to terrorize Hawkins. In the face of such a scenario, the stakes will probably be at an all-time high, especially after producer Shawn Levy’s remarks foretelling the same. Faced with the prospect of some of the main and closely followed characters dying, Stranger Things gears up for an emotional farewell with reports of executives breaking down following script reads.
Started in 2016, the Upside Down show has arguably gone on to seal itself as one of Netflix’s finest. Meanwhile, its final season will probably seal the fates of characters who are likely to appear in a potential spin-off, which Finn Wolfhard accidentally guessed to precision. Finally, the streamer has prioritized the show and may drop it by the end of 2024 or by early 2025.
