'Stranger Things' at Epic-Con: Netflix's Team Sends A Special Gang Member to Georgia

Every Stranger Things fan is keeping a close watch and holding their breath for any good news on the final season's release. Caught between not wanting the show to end while also wanting the fifth season to hit the screens as soon as possible, fans have been grilling the makers and cast members with numerous questions. To address the palpable curiosity among fans, and spark some more, Stranger Things is about to have its very own Upside Down Epic Con convention. 

A popular name has recently been added to the guest list of the convention, along with other Stranger Things stars.

Confirmed Stranger Things star to attend Epic-Con on both days

Epic-Cons will be hosting The Upside Down convention in Jackson, Georgia, on October 19-20. The event will feature many Stranger Things actors who will interact with fans throughout. The latest confirmed cast member to grace the event is Maya Hawke, known for her role as Robin on the show. The actress is confirmed to be present both Saturday and Sunday at the convention. Main stars like Millie Bobby Brown, Joe Keery, and Noah Schnapp are also set to be there both days, as per the official website.

Campbell Bower, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Raphael Luce, and Amybeth McNulty are expected to make their appearance only on Saturday. Meanwhile, Grace Van Dien, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Pizzolo, and Alec Utgoff are rumored to join the Upside Down Epic-Con on Sunday. While the Upside Down convention is just around the corner, Stranger Things Season 5 still seems like a distant dream- especially based on a recent revelation by a cast member.

Winona Ryder recently shared a bummer for all Stranger Things fans waiting for the final season.

Winona Ryder, while promoting her upcoming film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, recently chatted with E! News. When the topic turned to Stranger Things and the show's imminent end, Ryder described the current vibe as “bittersweet,much like what many of her fellow cast members have shared. However, she also shared some disappointing news about further delays for the final season.

We’re still filming,” she said, before revealing that production will continue into the “end of the year.” Maya Hawke had also previously hinted that the season might be delayed, given the fifth installment will feature some really lengthy episodes. While fans may need to hang tight for a potential 2025 release, they can get their Stranger Things fix at the upcoming Upside Down Epic-Con.
