“…Stop harassing her” – When Trevor Noah Feuded With Kanye West Over Kim Kardashian
Kanye West is always in the news, be it for negative or positive reasons. Over the years, we have witnessed Ye make the headlines for various reasons. While the audience is undoubtedly in awe of West’s super hit songs and music or his incredibly successful fashion career, sometimes what he does and says is not praiseworthy. Even though the rapper garners a lot of love and appreciation for his work, sometimes his personal views upset the fans and those close to him.
Kanye and Kim Kardashian were some of the industry’s most successful and popular celebrity couples. However, the couple called it quits when the model filed for divorce in February last year. The divorce was a viral affair and gave rise to a lot of drama and controversies. The 24-time Grammy Award winner took various shots at his ex-wife. Trevor Noah calls out Kanye West
Over the past few months, Kanye has used his social influence and massive following to call out his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her then-boyfriend, Pete Davidson. Kim was linked to the comedian Pete Davidson shortly after her divorce. Since then, the Heartless hitmaker has made some concerning statements on his Instagram and other social handles. West uploaded private messages and shared various posts about Kim and Pete. Amidst all the drama, Daily Show host Trevor Noah called out the Flashing Lights singer on Twitter for his questionable behavior.
“What we’re seeing here is one of the most powerful, one of the richest women in the world unable to get her ex to stop texting her, to stop chasing after her, to stop harassing her,” spoke Noah in his segment.
The host talked about how the Kim-Kanye issue started as a source of entertainment but later transcended into something concerning. Trevor encouraged people to speak out about the problem, not for entertainment reasons, but to point out the wrong.
Noah comes to the rapper’s support
After Noah’s statement, the rapper posted a picture of the host on Instagram, alongside a caption full of racial slurs, which resulted in the Ye being banned from the platform for 24 hours. Soon after, the Gold Digger singer became a subject to criticism and objection from the masses. Following the post, Grammy stopped Kanye from performing at the 2022 Grammy awards. However, Noah soon demonstrated his support for the rapper on Twitter.
