Actress and singer Sofia Carson graced CBS Mornings to discuss her latest venture, The Life List, set to release on March 28, 2025. Carson, portraying Alex Rose, a young woman who embarks on a unique mission orchestrated by her late mother: to complete her childhood bucket list before receiving her inheritance, a probable legacy promised to her by her mother, acted by Connie Britton. Initially, Alex views her mother's posthumous request as somewhat demanding, especially after being fired from her job. However, as she delves into the list, she uncovers the depth and sweetness behind her mother's intentions. Expressing how her own mother means the world to her, she described the script as "one of the most beautiful and human" ones she had ever encountered. 

 Carson collaborated with writer-director Adam Brooks for two years, fine-tuning the script and immersing herself in Alex's world, making it a point to spend ample time in New York City, where the film is set, allowing the city's vibrant energy to influence her portrayal. The actress also shared how instead of over-preparing, she focused on being present in each moment, allowing the character to unfold as naturally as possible.
