Sony movies’ Uncharted is finally making its way to the American streaming giant after multiple iterations in the release date. For Netflix USA, they had fixed the release date as any day in the first week of August. As we are here the movie will be available for streaming anytime now. It’s already available on Netflix India and has made its way to the top most watched movies in the nation.

The movie stars Tom Holland, as the main protagonist. He portrays the role of Nathan Drake, a legend who can foretell the future. The movie is based on one of the PlayStation video games that have made various entries in the last ten years. Accompanying Holland, Sophia Taylor, Mark Wahlberg and Tati Gabriel share the screen with him as Sully, Chloe and Braddock respectively.

For the theatres, the movie was on screens in the month of February this year. Although originally decided to release in July the previous year, the movie was delayed up until the second month of 2022 for some reasons.

Netflix had signed a new deal with Sony Entertainment in 2021. The deal reads, all the theatrical movies from Sony come to Netflix in the pay-1 window. Unsure of the duration, it’s hopefully anticipated that the movies will come to the streaming giant soon after 120-200 days following the release. They confirmed last month that Uncharted is coming exactly 119 days after its release. That made it due on July 15th since it was aired first on the 18th of February, 2022. However the officials again issued another declaration stating, that it’ll finally be available to the viewers in the first week of August.

However, just when we thought it couldn’t get any worse, the official site of Uncharted now states that it won’t be coming to our screen until 19th August. But thankfully an official once again answering to all media houses confirmed that it will be finally hitting the screens on the 5th of this month.

Despite all the alterations, once the movie is available it won’t be leaving the platform for 18 months at the least. Therefore we can expect that we’ll have the movie until early 2024.
