Could Netflix save the Snyderverse? Fans were led down big time when Henry Cavill announced that he will not be returning as Superman. That was likely due to James Gunn wanting to change plans for the next decade of DC studios. Not only Cavill but even Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot and Ben Affleck’s Batman were cut out for good.
Despite the decision, fans have not given up on the thought of seeing Cavill back as Superman. Perhaps Netflix could bring back the glory of the superheroes by bringing on the Snyderverse or we could get a sequel to Justice League if the streaming giant ever considers this.
How Netflix could bring back Henry Cavill by purchasing Snyderverse
While Henry Cavill announced that he will not be returning as Superman, fans are not ready to accept the outcome yet. As per Fandomwire, fans have been requesting Netflix to purchase the Snyderverse, the fantasy universe of director Zack Snyder. He was the maker of Man of Steel starring Cavill, which became a timeless hit. Both the director and actor are advocates of sticking to the original source as much as possible, which likely led to the success of the 2013 movie. But Snyder had to leave the world of DC later for personal reasons.
The #SellZSJLtoNetflix has been trending on social media, with one video explaining what it really means. Not only are people counting on it, but apparently, Zack Snyder is also vouching and keeping a close eye on the moment. Although the chance of this ambition becoming a reality could be slim, considering how the new Co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran are yet to prove themselves.
While Black Adam turned out to be an average movie, Man of Steel 2 was scrapped despite the mass demand. Perhaps if Snyder ever gets a green light, he could bring back Justice League with Henry Cavill and every scrapped actor along with him. Meanwhile, The Witcher actor is in talks for other projects like David Fincher’s prequel to Chinatown.
