2022 has been a weird year for all. In just a few months into the year, we have had some big controversies that have engulfed the entire internet. And it even saw many of those controversies getting settled. However, the repercussions of those controversies can still be felt. One such esteemed celebrity who is still in the news for his infamous incident is Will Smith.
It’s been almost over a month since the Oscar incident, and people are still talking about it, sharing memes, and wondering why the incident happened in the first place. But one thing that happened after the incident was that Will was not seen much after that night. Even Chris Rock, the other party in the controversy, made an appearance on the Netflix is a Joke: The Festival. But Will was rarely seen. However, that changes now.

Will Smith will be the newest guest on David Letterman’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction segment. However, because season 4 of Letterman‘s Netflix long-form interview talk show was taped before March, don’t expect the King Richard star to discuss his scandalous adventures at this year’s Oscars.
Cardi B, Kevin Durant, Billie Eilish, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and The Adam Project star Ryan Reynolds will all appear in the new season, which will premiere on Friday, May 20.
The reaction of the people
As soon as the news of the Bright star featuring in the show was released, people were quick to take digs and joke about it. We all know what the jokes will be about. But let’s take a look at a few of them.

Would be interesting if Letterman or Netflix said they won't air it unless he can do some followup questions with Mr. Smith.

I saw the guest list for David Letterman on Netflix, the new season looks great. I never finished the previous season, the KW episode, I couldn't finish it. But hopefully these are taped recently, the Will Smith interview would be an ideal time post Oscars.

If the Will Smith interview was recorded prior to the Oscars what’s the point.
