We can’t get enough of Queen Charlotte. With the upcoming Bridgerton spinoff, following the love story of Queen Charlotte, the craze for the Queen of London has only increased. In this prequel, we will learn about Queen’s origin story, including her marriage to King George, the great love story and the societal shift that followed. Through the spinoff and the Bridgerton series, itself, the creators aim to shed more light on the real Queen Charlotte, who doesn’t hold a prominent place in the royal history of Britain.
In a conversation with Deadline, Bela Bajaria, Netflix head of global TV explained, “Many viewers had never known the story of Queen Charlotte before Bridgerton brought her to the world, and I’m thrilled this new series will further expand her story and the world of Bridgerton.”

When will the Bridgerton Queen Charlotte spin-off air?
Netflix had earlier announced the spin-off, but that’s just about all we know so far. There is no possible release month or date. Since the project is very much new, we do not even have a title for the Bridgerton spin-off. According to an image in a recent tweet from Shonda Rhimes, a working title could be “Queen to Be.” But, at this point, it’s only a speculation.
Just like with Bridgerton, Shonda Rhimes will act as the showrunner, and also executive producer and writer for this spinoff. Tom Verica will be the director and the executive producer along with Betsy Beers as another executive producer for the show.

What will happen in the Bridgerton spinoff?
The Queen Charlotte spinoff will highlight the journey of the Queen from a young age and her rise to prominence and power. This series will also highlight the story of Young Violet Bridgerton and Young Lady Danbury. We still don’t have details about the exact plot. What we do have is an idea that the show will see Lady Danbury playing a guide to young Charlotte as the latter tries to navigate the palace life post her marriage.
