In an interview with TV Insider, Nicole Coghlan shares her experience working in the show. So, what will be the future of Penelope Featherington?

Coughlan reveals season 2 will highlight how Lady Whistledown works for her column. We all will witness a different side of her, the businesswoman’s side or this sneaky side. For her booming writing business, Penelope can’t do all the things as she used to do in Season 1 of Bridgerton. She explains, “I was like, ‘Oh, this is going to create a massive issue because I can’t sneak off because we’re attached to the hip.’”

To maintain a double life, it really becomes hard and stressful for Penelope to manage. At the end of the day, she is still a young girl. Penelope is smart, but she is facing a lot of challenges to operate her business. With her booming business, she even became a little arrogant. Because she is one of the most powerful women in London and still can’t do anything about it.

Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton’s connection will grow a little deeper. So, we can hope to see a new budding relationship between Penelope and Colin. Coughlan added, “He’s very self-assured. He’s not dark and troubled like Anthony. He’s not finding his art like Benedict. Colin is just a really fun, sweet guy. They’ve connected more through writing, and that’s probably where she’s the most comfortable.”
