“She saves me with…” – Ben Affleck Reveals What Motivated Him to Return as Batman
In the past few months, fans saw DC shaken to the roots by the new bosses, James Gunn and Peter Safran. While announcing a majority of projects for the new era at DC, the duo even sidelined some popular faces from the franchise. Not long after Gunn and Safran entered, DC made a comeback with Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Following that, the much-anticipated film of the franchise Flash 2 will be making its way to our screens as well. And recently, Ben Affleck revealed what tempted him to return as Batman in the sequel.
The Flash will see some renowned faces return to the screens. From Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman to Ben Affleck as Batman, the Ezra Miller starrer is going to be a star-studded affair. And recently during an appearance on the Smartless podcast, Affleck made some interesting revelations about the film. While speaking to the hosts, Affleck spoke about a scene where Wonder Woman saved Batman. The actor described, “She saves me with the Lasso of Truth. And so what happens is that Batman divulges some of his real feelings about his life and his work.” Furthermore, Affleck revealed how that scene put him in some thought before adding, “Wait a minute, I got it!”

Surprising as it sounds, Affleck accidentally revealed a major spoiler from the movie, even giving the audience a hint about Gadot’s return as Wonder Woman. Hearing Affleck speak, it is safe to assume that we might be witnessing Gadot’s cameo in The Flash as well. The Red Notice actor reprised her role in the recently released film Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Apart from the two films, reports suggest that the actress might also return to Aquaman 2.

We are no strangers to the fact that DC’s new bosses, James Gunn and Peter Safran, are planning to reboot the entire DC universe. As the duo prepares to write a new storyline for the franchise, The Flash will play a vital role in helping them.

Interestingly, a recent report suggests that The Flash will also mention Henry Cavill’s Superman in the synopsis. As of late, the Ezra Miller starrer will premiere worldwide on the 16th of June later this year.
