This is no news that Meghan Markle is not fond of her sister-in-law Kate Middleton. The rumors of arguments and disagreements between the two royal women have been popping up in the media forever. It was during her royal wedding with Prince Harry that Meghan found herself being brutally trolled for making Kate cry.

It was believed that an argument took place between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton due to the flower girl dresses. However, there was no truth to the former actress making the Princess of Wales cry. And she thus wanted the Palace to defuse the statement. Royal expert Valentine Low weighs on Meghan’s demand and how the authorities reacted to it.

Meghan Markle wanted the Palace to deny rift rumors

As the news of Meghan Markle making Kate surfaced, the former was subjected to a lot of hate and trolling. Since Meghan was not at fault, she demanded an official statement from the House of Windsor. However, the royal family was against putting any statement, as they believed that it would just fan the flames of the story. Moreover, they had never acknowledged the stories regarding the rift in the family and were quite adamant about maintaining the same. 

“The truth is that after the dress fitting, Meghan had become obsessed. She was trying to persuade the palace press office to put something out denying the story,” Low said, as mentioned by OK. 

During her interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan Markle clarified that it was Kate who made her cry while discussing the flower girl’s dressing. The former actress also added that they sorted the issue as Wales royal realized her mistake and apologized.

Further, Low also added that Kate Middleton is not happy with the narrative that Meghan is playing against her. The Princess of Wales finds her portrayal inaccurate. Reportedly, Kate did not like that “she was called out by name” unlike other members of the royal family.
