Sex Education has been the epitome of everything Gen Z. Be it its theme revolving around the young population or its accurate queer representation, the show has multiple things to boast for. Margot Robbie’s lookalike, Emma Mackey, got her own road to fame while Asa Butterfield’s character and relationships on screen became a fan favorite. But the last time we got to see these characters come live on screen was back in 2021. While this year marks two years of its absence from screens, albeit older seasons, on Netflix, the fourth one is finally arriving on the OTT platform. 

In new updates of the series, Netflix teased fans with a different approach than usual. 

Netflix has a new decipher game 

Netflix had a unique way to tease their fans with the upcoming season 4. Scheduled to be released on September 21 this year, fans can finally see their favorite show “reach its climax.” Releasing pictures of the show’s episode blurbs on Twitter, the OTT giant gave it a fun twist and blurred the blurb of each episode. Using a red pen, some words were crossed out to prevent fans from reading it in its entirety, leaving them guessing what it could be. 

In an attempt to connect the dots, it became a fun exercise of guessing what the episode would be about. Moreover, each episode’s preview picture added to the excitement. The show has been nothing short of the thrill and adventure of this special tease. Between the empowering messages of body positivity and mental health awareness among many, the fans found their solace in this coming-of-age series. 

As they got their creative hats on, the netizens flocked to the comments with their speculation and wishes.

Fans get to the decoding business with ships

Undoubtedly, Otis and Maeve remain the top favorite couple on the show. An honest-to-good approach to all things teenager and contemporary, the fans absolutely loved the relationship dynamic of this couple. They gave it the tag of Otis and Maeve’s “endgame,” accompanying them with memes. And it was not just this one couple the fans were rooting for. They had an entire array of it. Nonetheless, it is laced with the sadness of seeing their favorite characters meet their end.

Some fans were quick to notice the Jackson hint in the blurbs, excited to the character embrace his sexuality.

This was not where the deciphering stopped. Fans flooded TikTok with theories and answers, deciphering the teaser, generating well-deserved excitement for the upcoming season. While the fans are left to the job of decoding, season 4 is just around the corner.
