After giving the streamers its best live adaptation of a manga, the platform has been generating a massive buzz with the final season of the British teen comedy, Sex Education. The last installment of Laurie Nunn’s show is finally live on Netflix, and fans are nothing short of amazed by how the franchise provided a satisfying ending. 

While the buzz surrounding the teen show will last for quite some time, there is a similar exciting project in store for this year. And one who likes Sex Education must make room for the upcoming comedy-drama. 

A new Netflix series is all set to stream after the Sex Education’s finale

Fans’ overwhelming reaction to the trailer of Sex Education 4 already foreshadowed the success of the final season. Netflix streamers have not been able to keep their calm ever since the series hit the OTT platform. The hype around the high-school comedy is now making things hopeful for the upcoming eight-part comedy-drama series, Everything Now. Ripley Parker’s British teen comedy-drama follows a similar fashion of cheeky high-school angst that Sex Education holds. 

The story revolves around a teenager, Mia Polanco, who returns home after a long battle with anorexia. However, upon coming back, she realizes that the world around her is not the same anymore, and all her friends have moved on without her. Mia decides to make a bucket list and makes it her mission to complete it. The series will predominantly focus on mental health issues faced by teenagers, as revealed by the creator. 

Movie buffs will have to wait till 5th October to see whether the show exceeds the benchmark set by Sex Education.

Why is Sex Education the best teen show on Netflix?

Over the years, Netflix has given us many hit teen shows, including Never Have I Ever and Heartstopper. However, hardly has any series been able to come near the mark set by the BAFTA-winning series. The major reason for this is the show’s conscious attempts to spark empathetic conversations around taboo subjects. Apart from bringing laughter to the audience, the show explores topics around sexualities, identities, and emotional complexities, making it the most inclusive series on Netflix. 

The show does not hold back from showcasing awkward situations and presents them in a light-hearted manner to convey how normal such things are. Thanks to the series, many teens have actually become more open about their needs. While fans are feeling down with their favorite show’s conclusion, they are satisfied with each and every character’s development throughout the series. Within a few hours, social media has been flooded with positive reviews for the series, proving the show’s standard.
