Serena Williams Once Recalled “a crazy experience” With Her Newborn Daughter to Royal Pal, Meghan Markle

Being a parent does not come easy, especially when you are a royal member, a world-renowned athlete, or of any profession, for that matter. While your work life rips you in two, there is the excessive urge to give the world to their kids. And no one understands this better than the mother of two, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and her dear friend Serena Williams.

The Duchess’s first few inaugural episodes of her award-winning Podcast Archetypes were all about the same. Speaking of some hardships and of being a working parent, Meghan Markle, and the world-renowned tennis mogul explored various thought-provoking topics. In the course of the session, Serena Williams opened up about a tragic incident with her daughter.

After Meghan Markle had shared her ghastly experience of Prince Archie’s nursery fire, Williams talked about how her newborn Olympia was injured down bad. It so happened that her daughter had fallen off a high chair and had badly injured her wrist. It happened under her watch and Williams, and she could not forgive herself for that.

I was just basically devastated. Like, I literally couldn’t think,” poured out Williams to her friend. She further continued about how they rushed to the hospital with Olympia in a terrible condition to even look at. The situation did not get better until he had a cast and it was almost 4 in the morning till they got it done.

But Williams remembered how she had to go and play the next match after a power nap of just 30 minutes in the morning. “I’m a little of a perfectionist,” claimed the player and recalled how she managed to win, but her mind was nowhere near peace. However, from that day onwards, Williams took all of herself and became even more responsible for her daughter.

I just took a lot on. But moms do a lot,” she exclaimed by citing an example of her own mother. She was surprised at the fact at how her mother managed to bring up five children while she was already struggling with one.
