Scripted! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Turn Hatred Into Money as They Work on Making Scripted Content

Even after curbing our imagination, Prince Harry marrying Meghan Markle, who was then a working actress, seems very much like a plot of a grand romantic movie. And the couple only adds further to the narrative with their PDA. Their tell-all Netflix documentary was heavily focused on their romance. How the couple met, fell in love, and worked actively to support each other through the countless hurdles they came across, formed the first part of the Harry & Meghan docuseries.

Their confessions of love for each other did receive the label of the best love story by fans. However, it was criticized by others who questioned them for marketing it as a tell-all documentary when it was mostly their love story. And looks like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have read the comments because they are reportedly working on rom-com projects.

If Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s story were to be looked at through the camera’s lens, it would qualify as a romantic drama. However, according to The Telegraph, the couple has shown interest in working on a romantic comedy venture. This does not come as a surprise to fans for various reasons. Firstly, fans were beginning to call hypocrisy as the couple continued to sell their personal experience while demanding privacy.

And secondly, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are both romantic comedy fanatics like most of us. Prince Harry’s memoir made headlines for many reasons and one of them was his comparing himself to Chandler from F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Markle too made headlines, although negative when she referred to the classic Princess Diaries as  “that old Anne Hathaway movie“. However, on a serious note, Markle talked in her interview with Vanity Fair about how she and her husband are appreciative of all kinds of love, like most people.

“We use that as the baseline of the kind of shows and documentaries we want out there,” Markle added further. The couple will reportedly adopt a role behind the scenes, likely as an executive producer. It is quite smart of the couple to turn the “scripted love story” tag into a million-dollar project.
