Taylor Swift made sure to include Sadie Sink and Blake Lively in her speech. The 32-year-old singer was only 12 when she was first inspired to write the song Lucky You. It has been two decades since, and she has thrived, becoming the pop culture queen. A flow of new young singers comes with every generation, but Swift has managed to be the exception.
She also brought the music and the acting industry closer, by making them a part of her music. Since her albums continue to stay relatable, the fan base increases and the awards keep coming. But Swift stayed grounded and thankful as she gave this short and sweet speech at AMA nights.
What did Taylor Swift say about Sadie Sink and Blake Lively?
The 2022 AMA show was as happening as ever. Swift won the Artist of the Year Award, which comes as no surprise considering her sensational streak of amazing albums. As she received her award for her favorite pop album Red, the singer thanked Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien, who starred in her music film All Too Well: The Short film.
She also took a moment to thank Blake Lively for her other music video, calling her a “beautiful, brilliant friend.” Lively fabulously and famously directed her friend Swift’s music video I Bet You Think About Me from the 2021 album Red.
The Green Lantern actress has been one of Swift’s closest friends in the industry, with the two often going on double dates together. In fact, Swifties previously took notice of how the singer leaked Lively and Reynolds’s baby names James and Inez in the album Folklore. While the Shake It Off singer once agreed that Sink was in since the beginning of her plan to make the 15-minute romantic movie.
While Blake Lively glows as embraces a fourth baby, Sadie Sink is waiting for the release of her psychological thriller Whale. As for Taylor Swift, there must be a relief knowing Kanye West did not interrupt this speech.
