Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham AFC to Visit USA for the First Time in 168 Years, Eyeing a Million-Dollar Tournament Win
The fifth-tier team, Wrexham AFC, is quickly making progress. The team was languishing before Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney decided to invest in the team on a whim in 2020. Since then, the two have actively worked to help the team win promotions and get promoted to a higher tier. Their journey was well documented in the FX documentary Welcome to Wrexham.

According to Market Watch, Wrexham will face some serious competition from Hashtag United, Club Necaxa, US Women, and Team Dempsey. Since Clint Dempsey is leading Team Dempsey, chances are Wrexham will also have its icons taking the lead.
