This year came as a blessing for Ryan Reynolds, whether it’s his professional or personal life. The dad of three is soon to welcome another beautiful soul in the family. His career took a glorious path that has listed him among the most popular actors in the world. The Deadpool 2 star recently received the People’s Icon Award, which is the biggest recognition of an actor’s contribution to the entertainment world.

It is doubtless that the Canadian star has made a significant contribution to society in many ways. From making people laugh at his jokes to extending a helping hand to needful, this humble man has always proved his worth. The actor was even honored by his home country as they named a street after his name. But the 45-year-old superstar did once receive an uncanny title that you might not agree with.

Back in 2014, Forbes rolled out a list of the top ten actors who are overpaid for their unsatisfactory acting. And the fan-favorite artist Ryan Reynolds got the fourth spot on that unlikely list because the previous few years didn’t turn out well for him on-screen, since his 2011 Green Lantern squandered a huge budget, but the results were not impressive.

The list also included big industry names like Johnny Depp, who is known for his box-office hit films. The first spot was taken by the famous American comedian and producer, Adam Sandler.

It was stated in the report that his movies Jack and Jill and That’s My Boy did not do well on box office whereas his pay was high in comparison to the profits incurred.

Years later, Ryan Reynolds has become one of the most beloved and successful stars in Hollywood today. The actor has received many awards this year, including The Dragon Awards by the Wales community, while he also received the 36th American Cinematheque Award.
