Ryan Reynolds Loses Out on an Award to ‘Red Notice’ Co-star Dwayne Johnson, for His Netflix Flick ‘The Adam Project’

The night of March 4 saw one of the biggest events of the year, Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2023. Lots of stars were up for the kids’ choice award, including one of the all-time fan favorites, Ryan Reynolds. The Canadian-American actor was nominated under the category of Favorite Movie Actor for his film The Adam Project.

Apparently, he was not the only Adam in the line, as his Red Notice costar Dwayne Johnson was also up in the same category for his DCU hit Black Adam. Ultimately, Johnson outplayed Reynolds for the award and became Nickelodeon’s Favorite Movie Actor of the Year 2023. Well, at least one of the Adams won.

Apart from these two, other male actors who were up in the line were Chris Hemsworth for Thor: Love and Thunder, Tom Cruise for Top Gun: Maverick, Jim Carrey for Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Chris Pratt for Jurassic World Dominion. The Rock outrun each of them for his 2022 hit. However, it was not the only category he won an award in.

Apart from Ryan Reynolds, who else did Johnson outrun in other categories?

Besides winning the favorite male actor, Johnson also won the award for Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie. The Baywatch actor won it for his voice in the film DC League of Super-Pets as Krypto. He voiced Superdog Krypto, who rescues Superman and other superheroes from the screws of Lex Luthor.

Surprisingly, he had met a tough fight in this section from some of the best voice actors of all time. One of them was his DC League of Super-Pets co-voice actor Kevin Hart, who was up for the nomination for his role as Ace in the movie.

Apart from these two, Andy Samberg was up for two voice roles, Dale in Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers and Jonathan in Hotel Transylvania: Transformania. Chris Evans and Steve Carell were also nominated for their films Lightyear and Minions: The Rise of Gru

However, the luck seemed to be in the favor of The Rock, who scored top positions in two of the toughest categories of the Kids’ Choice Awards. Apart from being a nominee, he was also a presenter at the awards.

What do you think of Johnson winning the awards? Do you think he deserved them, or do you believe any other actor would have been a better choice? Tell us in the comments.
