As we inch closer to the next historic event in the history of the United Kingdom, King Charles’s coronation has already been pulling major controversies more than ever. We are just a few months apart from King Charles’s takeover as the Monarch of the Kingdom and rampant speculations are at an all-time high. Needless to say, his youngest Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle has become the “thorny subject” in the entire chaos.

Recent reports made it clear that the King is bent on having his family united at his event, however, the chances of the same still seem bleak. Although the father has been trying his best to ensure the presence of Sussexes at his Coronation, the response from the other side does not seem so promising or so the experts say.
Royal Expert comments on Meghan Markle at the coronation
It has been confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan are on the top-100 strong guest list to be invited to the Coronation. However, are they even willing to attend it? Royal Charles Rae does not think so. While talking to GB news the expert speculated that changes in the Duke attending the coronation is also a possibility in this case. “Let’s not forget that Meghan has a perfect excuse not to turn up,” he claimed. Apparently, according to him, the Duchess might hold back from coming along with her husband since it will be her eldest son’s birthday.
The crowning of the King is scheduled to take place on the sixth of May, 2023. Interestingly, it coincides with the birthday of his grandson, Archie who will be turning four this fall. Rae thus makes the assumption that Meghan Markle might just “stay behind and enjoy the celebrations with her son.” Nevertheless, there was always a big question mark on the attendance of the Duchess given the past bombshells dropped at the Royal Family.
What are the chances of the Sussexes turning up for the event?
The tell-all Netflix docuseries which slandered the Royal Family have thereby strained the relationships which were already hanging by a thread. In addition to it, Prince Harry’s memoir made multiple brutal attacks on the Sovereigns, especially William the Prince of Wales. Speaking of him, earlier reports even suggested that the two brothers will be made to sit separately in case the Duke decides to turn up for the event.
Given the heated tensions between the brothers after Prince Harry’s continuous allegations, the Sussexes can expect to receive unusual treatment from the family to ensure things run smoothly throughout the ceremony.
