Royal Expert Says Queen Elizabeth Was “hurt and exhausted” by Prince Harry and Meghan’s Decision

Following the demise of Queen Elizabeth II, various theories and speculations are popping up regarding her equation with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. People are clashing on whether the matriarch wanted reconciliation with the former working royals. The Sussex couple stepped down from their responsibilities in 2020 and moved to California.

Harry and Meghan were stripped from their titles of His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness as they continued making allegations over the House of Windsor for their poor treatment. They shook the world last year by giving an explosive interview to Oprah Winfrey, where they stated that their very presence in the family hurt certain members. The Queen never publicly spoke about the accusations made by Harry and Meghan. However, the royal scribe, Katie Nicholl, is all set to make some serious revelations in her upcoming book The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown.

Further, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch was also upset for spending very little time with her great-grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet. Harry and Meghan introduced Lilibet to the Queen via a video call. Moreover, it was in June 2022 that the two met each other for the first time.

The royal couple marked their presence at Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June in London at Windsor Castle. It was a source of sadness for the Queen that she got to see so little of Archie and Lilibet.

Her Royal Highness was disappointed when Harry and Meghan failed to join her in August for a weekend at Balmoral. Every year, the matriarch used to organize a sleepover to spend some quality time with her children and great-grandchildren.
