LATE QUEEN’S WONDERFUL WEDDING GIFT FOR HARRY AND MEGHAN

Following Harry and Meghan’s grand royal wedding in 2018, the couple received a
special gift from Her Majesty in the form of Frogmore Cottage. Before the
marriage, the Duke and Duchess resided in Kensington Palace. However, they were
hoping to move to a suite of apartments in Windsor Castle. Considering the wish,
Queen decided to give them Frogmore Cottage, which was extremely close to Her
Majesty’s private garden.

In her upcoming book The New Royals, the royal expert Katie Nicholl has revealed
her conversation with Lady Elizabeth Hanson, who was a close ally of the late
monarch. Anson told Nicholl that Queen was particular about her privacy, but she
decided to give it up for Harry and Meghan. Her Majesty sincerely hoped for the
couple to honor her gift. 

“The cottage was a big deal. The Queen’s entrance into the gardens is right next
to their cottage. It is essentially her backyard, her solitude, and her privacy.
