In Harry & Meghan, Prince Harry drew similarities between his wife Meghan Markle and the late Princess Diana. The Duke believes that the former American actress is akin to the late Princess of Wales, as she has the same compassion, empathy, confidence, and warmth. He also reflected on how the Duchess went through the same media trial and atrocities by the royal family members as his mother.

Prince Harry is not the only one to compare Meghan Markle with Princess Diana. Many royal fans have also described the Suits alum as the People’s Princess who has picked her mother-in-law’s torch with grace. Therefore, the viewers were floored by Princess Diana’s constant mention in the Netflix docuseries. However, the royal commentator Richard Eden was not happy with Prince Harry for not touching upon his late mother’s most attractive quality.

Eden scrutinizes Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix show

The royal commentator looked extremely upset with Prince Harry for not lauding his mother for treating both her children equally. Richard Eden revealed that even in her life’s most hard times, the late Princess Diana never did partiality between her two sons. She always made sure that Prince Harry was not overshadowed by his older brother, Prince William, the future king. Eden narrated how once the late royal expressed her displeasure to the late Queen Elizabeth II for giving more importance to her oldest grandson while forgetting the younger one. 

“He does not remember one of Diana’s most attractive qualities. Even in the depths of her despair over her marriage to Prince Charles, she never sought to favor one son above another,” Richard Eden said as quoted by Daily Mail. 

Further, the royal commentator was also not appreciative of Harry & Meghan. He believes that with the docuseries, the Duke of Sussex has buried his image of a good-looking and brave soldier who was easygoing. Eden described the show as a “partial and one-sided diatribe” by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry against the UK media and royal family members.
