The anticipation for Stranger Things is growing increasingly exciting each day as updates suggest that the final season is approaching. Despite some delays and occasional leaks, there have been many highlights to keep fans engaged. With the production of season 5 already past the halfway point, viewers have been given a glimpse of the final dance through a behind-the-scenes trailer. A few months ago, when fans saw Jamie Campbell Bower at Creel House dressed in an old-fashioned suit, hat, and sunglasses, without his usual menacing appearance, they were quick to come up with numerous theories. Duffer recently took to X to post a picture of himself, standing at the door of the Creel House. 

For those curious, the Creel House was briefly home to the Creel family in Hawkins, Indiana, in 1959. In the Upside Down, however, it was converted into Vecna’s headquarters, with a distorted version of the house also playing a key role in Vecna’s mindscape. After Victor Creel’s series of murders in the 1980s, the house was left abandoned, which later became the site of the final curse gate following Max Mayfield’s near-death experience.

While the location is already iconic and holds special significance for Hawkins fans, Ross Duffer’s recent return has left fans questioning whether it is simply for flashback scenes or if there is new suspense on the horizon.

While some days the intriguing pieces take the form of script leaks, on the others, it is the Creel House making fans nervous. Since fans at the time of Jamie Campbell Bower’s appearance at the Creel House predicted theories ranging from Holly Wheeler’s spotting to a figure peeking like Alice Creel, this time, fans had even wilder theories in their store. 

Many fans speculated that this could be the site of the “Byler kiss,” while others were more focused on hoping for another teaser.
