Reports Suggest That Director’s “funky choices” For Henry Cavill’s Upcoming Spy Thriller ‘Argylle,’ May Put It in Big Production Trouble
The most handsome man in the world, Henry Cavill, has formed a legacy of his own, starring in projects like DC’s most celebrated superhero movie Man in Steel, and then in Netflix’s medieval monster mayhem, The Witcher. However, all of it was snatched away from him because of the individual director’s choices either to star a younger version or to deviate from the source material. Despite that, he was quick to move past it and take up other high-profile projects, which include Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle.
Based on the book of the same name, Apple studios had voluntarily undertaken the production of the most anticipated spy-thriller. But it now seems like Vaughn and his “funky choices” have made behind the scenes a little complicated, making the marketing team “uneasy” and providing them with reasons to have second thoughts. Jeff Sneider was the one to report these rumors. However, he denies commenting any further or providing a detailed description of what the scenario is actually like.
As far as Vaughn is concerned, whom we know for his work on films such as Kingsman: The Secret Service and X-Men: First Class, has a reputation for being a bit unconventional in his approach to filmmaking. However, it seems that his choices on Argylle, which includes plenty of humor and filming against a green screen, may be causing some concern among the film’s producers. But there is no official news, and despite the disagreements, the film is in its production phase.
