Red Notice, the action comedy film of Netflix starring A-listers like Gal Gadot, Dwayne Johnson, and Ryan Reynolds, has become a blockbuster. The presence of the trio has played its part in this film attaining blockbuster status.
The trio has given a lot of interviews, and even Netflix has released over one video on their official YouTube channel about their experience on the making of the film.
Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson Break Down Red Notice
In the recent videos uploaded by Netflix on their YouTube channel, Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, and the writer-director of the film Rawson Marshall Thurber explain the iconic ballroom scene of the film shot by shot.
The ballroom is as visualized in the film– many people are dancing together in ball gowns and suits. But Gal Gadot herself explained the reality. She said, “This is the first, you know, one-on-one encounter that Hartley has with Sarah. It’s a fun one.”
Dwayne Johnson added, “When Gal and I shot this scene, no one was in the scene with us. Shooting in COVID circumstances means that we actually had to shoot the scene multiple times with and without people.”
The visual effects supervisor had set up different points on the dance floor of the ballroom, where there would be other dancers dancing along with Hartley and Sarah in the movie. All the dancers had their specific areas. As they did their dance, Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson became very aware of the other human beings’ spots.

The director of the movie Rawson Marshall Thurber explained, “We shot them all by themselves and they left. And then we brought in all the backgrounds and we shot it again. They have N95 masks under their masquerade ball masks and that would allow more people to be closer to each other.”
But as an audience, when we see the scene, it really comes together seamlessly.
Have you seen Red Notice yet? If yes, what did you make of the on-screen dance between Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot? Was it one of the top moments of the film?
