In 34 episodes, Stranger Things has spread its roots to the very inevitable corners of fans’ hearts. It is one of the most excellent horror series that Netflix has made in its entire history. With a brilliant direction, a stellar story, and a bevy of lovable characters, the show has enraptured viewers with its charms. But the commendable part comes with the way creators have nicely balanced all these good things with some unlikely ones.

While the core cast of the show has always been admired and praised for their sacrifices, one cannot say the same for more than a few characters. Taking that into consideration, we have sorted out some names who have earned themselves a place on the list of the worst characters of all time.

Stranger Things is all about characters, and the emotional connection that fans have formed with them. As much as one loves the likes of Eddie Munson and Argyle, there are others who viewers absolutely cannot stand.

Angela The Queen Bee

Season 4 introduced many new characters that added nicely to the proceedings of storylines. One of them included Angela played by Elodie Grace Orkin. She was one of the most popular students at Lenora Hills High, where Eleven took admission after moving to California. This teen made her ambition to bully the latter, who was already overwhelmed with all the changes. She cruelly mocked Eleven for her school project, which gave tribute to her father Hopper for showing courage during the Starcourt Mall fire.

Not to forget, Angela humiliated her badly in front of Mike, circling around her at the skating rink. In the scene, the telekinetic girl finally lost her cool and smacked this queen bee in the head with a roller skate. Fans have majorly disliked this character throughout the season for being so evil to their beloved character.

Mr Wheeler

Next in line comes the father of the two main characters, Nancy and Mike Wheeler. Though the dads of this show are not recognized as the greatest, Ted is majorly absent from the lives of his kids. Over the course of the series, fans saw how this man showed zero interest in the whereabouts of his children. At one point, when his wife, Karen Wheeler, showed so much support and love for them, he was perpetually clueless and exasperated.

Mr. Wheeler might be harmless in comparison to the other monster fathers he indeed is not the best parent. In fact, he was so accustomed to his monotonous life he failed to notice the threats his married life faced. In season 3, when his wife almost started an affair with Billy Hargrove, Ted was none the wiser to her advances.

Jonathan Byers 

Played by Charlie Heaton, Jonathan Byers is one of the main characters of Stranger Things. Even after being a part of the storyline from the beginning, this character has shown the least growth. When people like Steve Harrington changed hugely throughout this time, starting from a real jerk, this boy remained the same. For many fans, he is the forgotten brother who got lost in the chaos that started with Bill Byers.

His life has been so dull that his romantic arc with the beautiful Nancy could not hide it. Season 4 showed that even after getting into college, Jonathan only had a teaspoon of maturity. He did not show the courage to meet his girlfriend just because she may feel disappointed by the decision he made for his future. Or one can say he likes to settle for less instead of aiming for something bigger.

Martin Brenner 

Famously known as PAPA, Martin Brenner is inarguably the most detestable character in the supernatural drama. Often presenting himself as a father figure, the man subjected nightmarish abuse to all the children he raised in an underground lab. The hatred Eleven has for him illustrates his inhumane parenting style. In season 4 viewers got a clear picture of his punishments, including solitary confinement and electroshock collars which he used for kids.

Though one cannot trust the words of the main villain of the show Henry Creel, he was accurate when he said, “Papa does not tell the truth.” Even Matthew Modine described him as cruel for the way he treats small kids. Well, as of now, fans only wish that he stays dead after all the things he did in the past.

We all know that Henry Creel was introduced to the audience in season 4. However, the sorcerer was looming around the entire story long before anyone knew about it. The penultimate season of the series revealed that he was the force behind all the attacks that the Hawkins gang faced. Expertly played by the handsome actor Jamie Campbell Bower, this character is the worst nightmare that any human could ever imagine.

He is not just a kid who became influenced by newfound power but is a soul-devouring monster who targets the weak points of innocent people. Right from a young age, he liked dangerous creatures like the Black Widow spider. In fact, he did not even leave his family and unleashed his hatred on them, slaughtering them. All those murders that he did till now involving broken bones and gouged eyes are certainly not forgettable.
