Princess Diana “would be disappointed” Over the Situation With Homelessness, Says Prince William
Princess Diana Spencer will always be remembered as a groundbreaking force for change. She was the sole pioneer of public welfare and social alms from the House of Windsor, for those in need. And following her tragic demise, it is her sons carrying forward her legacy of serving mankind to the best of one’s abilities. Everyone is aware of how keenly Prince Harry follows his late mother. However, this time, it is Prince William preaching the lessons of the former Princess of Wales.
On the occasion of this year’s Red Nose Day, the first in the line of succession to the British throne shared his heartfelt message in the course of a charity interview. The entire program was aimed at addressing the increasing issues of homelessness in the Kingdom as well as its commonwealth nations. While speaking to people supported by Groundswell Charity, he explained how they have not done enough of what Princess Diana would have expected out of them.

Taking part in this year’s appeal for the Comic Relief fund, Prince William thinks “she (Princess Diana) would be disappointed that we are still no further on, in terms of tackling homelessness and preventing it than when she was interested and involved in it,” as revealed in a YouTube short shared by Comic Relief’s channel. Speaking of why it means so much to him, he revealed how his late mother had introduced him to the difficulties of homeless people from quite an early age.

What does Prince William aspire to do for homelessness, as inspired by Princess Diana?
While prepping him for his ultimate duty as the Monarch, Princess Diana used to take Prince William on visits to charities such as Passage Charity in Central London. She played a vital role in instilling values in his eldest son about the tragic loss and pain of people who do have a roof over their heads.
At the moment, the future King is the patron of the Passage homelessness charity, giving his best for the welfare of his subjects. In light of the same, he also inaugurated two residential buildings that provide shelter to 225 people. Recalling the same, the Prince affirmed that he was “more determined than ever” to give his best in eradicating the human tragedy that is homelessness.
