Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s six-episode Netflix docuseries has given birth to controversies and intense debates. There were many pictures, clips, and dialogues in the show that caused outrage in the United Kingdom. Following the release of the first volume of Harry & Meghan, the Duke and Duchess were also accused of flouting the royal protocols. They showcased a picture in an episode from their time at the Y Bwthyn Bach. 

The cottage was given as a gift to the late Queen Elizabeth II by the Welsh people on her sixth birthday. Queen had a lot of fond memories attached to it as she and Princess Margaret spent a lot of their childhood in Wendy house. It is a royal protocol that no one can take cameras into the monarch’s private property without her permission. Thus, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are being criticized for playing with the rules. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a special connection with a royal member

As per the Daily Mail, Princess Beatrice awarded Prince Harry and Meghan Markle permission to shoot inside the Y Bwthyn Bach. The late monarch had gifted the property to Prince Andrew’s eldest daughter in late 2010. Thus, Princess Beatrice holds custody of the cottage. In the picture displayed in the docuseries, the Duke and Duchess were sitting by one of the pristine windows while enjoying their tea time in an ornate tea set. 

The aforementioned incident has proved that Princess Beatrice stands tall with her cousin in his fight with the royal family. This is not the first time that the cameras were allowed inside the cottage. In 2012, Andrew Marr interviewed the Princess for the BBC’s The Diamond Queen.

Meanwhile, it might surprise you that Princess Beatrice is not the only royal member to show her support for Sussexes. Prince Andrew’s youngest daughter Princess Eugene is also good friends with the California-based royals. In the last episode of their docuseries, the Sussexes shared some clips where they could be seen having a good time with the Princess and her husband, Jack Brooksbank.
