Pokémon has been a huge part of all of our childhood. Who doesn’t remember watching the adventure of Ash with his amazing team and adorable Pokémon Pickachu? However, the younger generation doesn’t seem to be familiar with this incredible show the way we were. As a result, the Pokémon company is trying to bring new animes from the Pokémon world to the new generation. Thus Pokémon: The Arceus Chronicles was born.

What is Pokémon: The Arceus Chronicles on Netflix about?

Following the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, it was only a matter of time until the Pokémon anime began focusing on stories from the Sinnoh region’s distant past when humans first landed there. While animated shorts like Hisuian Snow have introduced new characters into the Sinnoh region’s history, the mainstream anime is ready to offer Ash Ketchum yet another crash lesson in dealing with the legendary pokémon whose might molded the country.

The Pokémon Company has announced that the English dub of Pokémon: The Arceus Chronicles, a new animated special, will premiere on Netflix in September after originally premiering in August 2022 Pokémon World Championships in London.

The Arceus Chronicles, originally released in Japan as four episodes of Pokémon Journeys: The Series, follows the narrative of Ash and a number of his pals from the past reuniting in present-day Sinnoh for a festival honoring the Hisui area and its pokémon. The Arceus Chronicles, like Arceus the game, will investigate the ties between its eponymous legendary creator pokémon and the area it rules over, as well as how some evil people mistakenly seek to exploit Arceus’ power for themselves.

It will be great to see how studios bring a fresh twist to such an established show as Pokémon. Viewers will be able to stream the new anime directly on Netflix from the 23rd of September 2022.
