This means that he will be cutting down on the “top-heavy royal household.” Those who hold the title of ‘working royals’ enjoy numerous monetary perks, irrespective of the amount of work they do. And King Charles will be seeing the end of this.

The extended members of the royal family, which are quite a lot, have been enjoying the perks of their royal titles. While the King does not intend on taking away their titles, he does want them to “pay their own rent.” His aim is to use the royal treasures efficiently. “The boss wants effective people in effective positions doing effective jobs being paid appropriately,” a spokesperson mentioned.

Will the financial cut affect Prince Harry and Meghan Markle?

The thread connecting Prince Harry to the royal family grows weaker by the day. This was evident as he revealed that he has not spoken to his brother or father for months in the Harry & Meghan docuseries. This, followed by the decision to kick them out of Frogmore Cottage, definitely seemed to be the breaking of the last straw. However, there was a financial agenda against it all.

Nonetheless, Prince Harry was already paying the taxes for the cottage from his own pockets even before there was any news of cutoffs. Moreover, the couple has a breathtaking mansion in the United States that is not paid for by the Palace. Therefore, on the surface, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle do not have anything to worry about.
