There have been enough stories about how the Duke of Sussex Prince Harry and his wife, the Duchess, Meghan Markle met eye-to-eye. The infancy of their courtship dates back to 2016 when both met and fell for each other for the first time. All Sussex fans who have been following the duo devotedly from the beginning know, their love has only grown stronger through each passing day. In fact, the Duke who had a crush on his now-wife two years before their wedding has finally confessed all his feelings in an open book to the world. 

As his memoir, Spare, hit the shelves on the 10th of this month, it has unveiled a whole lot of intriguing secrets about the Royal Family. While the major focus was on exposing the flawed family, Prince Harry also spoke a lot about himself and his wife. The stories also include his euphoric aftermath following his first date night with the former American actress. While Meghan Markle could not help but FaceTime the juvenile Prince right after she left, the Duke could only manifest his hysteria with a bunch of cannabis.

The Duke of Sussex clearly expressed his uncontrollable ecstasy of the first day he spent with Meghan Markle with his guard down. As Markle left for her dinner plans, the Prince went over to a friend’s to spend the night with him. Harry bared his heart as he wrote, “Late in the night with everyone asleep, I’d walk the house, checking doors and windows”. As the Prince felt himself in seventh heaven, he “would sit on the balcony or the edge of the garden and roll a joint“.  

The now father of two also mentioned how he wanted to pour his heart out to his friend who glared at him with curious eyes. He just wanted to keep his ecstasy to himself. Nonetheless, giving into his rhapsodies he recounted the entire date. “Out came the tequila. Out came the weed,” writes Harry. He along with the boys then had their midnight drinks and joints and ended up watching a Disney film. 

As surprised as you are, his date, Meghan Markle who FaceTimed him on the same night also expressed her surprise. “You’re watching cartoons!?” was the then actress’s first reaction as she watched her Prince enjoying the land magic and fairy tales. For the unversed, their first date was at ‘Dean Street Townhouse‘ in Soho, London. The hotel has a private dining room called ‘The Snug’ where they shared a drink and chat.
