Not Just Money, THIS Severed Tie for Kanye West Directly Affects His Divorce Proceedings With Kim Kardashian
Kanye West is no stranger to scandals and controversies. However, this time around, the rapper did not get off scot-free. Apart from public backlash, his antisemitic rhetoric on social media also resulted in the dissolution of several of his partnerships, from Adidas to Balenciaga to Gap, and many more. While Ye incurred several losses because of these falling outs, a recently severed tie even affects the Donda rapper’s relationship with Kim Kardashian.
Yet another entity in West’s life has left his side. This occurrence could slow down his divorce from the internet personality Kim Kardashian. Who is this person with that much power?

What might cause further delays with the Kim Kardashian-Kanye West divorce?
Just a few weeks ago, news of West finally taking steps to settle his divorce with Kardashian surfaced. Though their internal tiff was far from over, it seemed they were making some progress legally. About a month back, Ye hired Robert Stephan Cohen to represent him. The Yeezy founder has had several lawyers in the past that dropped him as a client. This familiar attorney previously represented Melinda Gates.
However, this is not the case anymore. In his statement to The US Sun, Cohen clarified that the Power singer is no longer his client. Granted, the attorney did not explicitly cite the reasons for his exit, but the odds point to the rapper’s antisemitic comments. Kanye West has another lawyer named Nick Salick. Hailing from Beverly Hills, this new divorce attorney is reportedly attempting to close the property settlements and the custody proceedings by December.
It has already been over a year since Kim Kardashian filed for divorce. Given that legal proceedings move faster with fewer attorneys involved, chances are that the already delayed procedure might get further prolonged. But, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is maintaining her cool and filtering her comments around the controversy. According to a source, the socialite knows that anything she said could set the Runaway artist off and it could mean “another year of this.”
“The only thing that matters to her is getting that divorce done now. She just can’t risk any last-minute surprises from him,” disclosed an insider to The Sun.
