Not Just Henry Cavill’s Geralt, ‘The Witcher’ Season 3 Has Another Character That Has Fans Excited
The Witcher Season 3 has not only been tasked to fill the already big shoes but also expected to leave them at least two sizes greater. Albeit not an unattainable feat to achieve, given that Henry Cavill is starring in Season 3, it is still tricky. However, apart from Cavill’s great Geralt, there is another character on the other extreme of the moral compass that excites fans.
As the announcement of Henry Cavill’s exit made waves, a replacement that went unnoticed was that of Chris Fulton’s Rience. However, as the majority met the news through a fight clip from The Witcher Season 3, their disdain was clear. With the season premiering in just a few days, the creators have released an intriguing photo of an unfamiliar Rience in hopes that fans will give him a chance.
And the trick might just have worked.

Gone are the days when heroes reigned supreme. There has been a paradigm-changing shift in stories across the heart that have deprived heroes of their earlier unparalleled privilege as fans find soft spots for villains. This is incredibly true for Rience and his captivating demeanor. Chris Fulton played the role down to the last morsel. But it seems with the snarky smile displayed by Sam Woolf aka the new Rience that he may just hit the dart right on the dot.
The new image of The Witcher Season 3 finds Rience intensely staring at his hand. Perhaps looking at the damage Cavill’s Geralt imposed on it with just a tweet? What’s clear, however, is that we will be seeing a lot of the mage in the upcoming season amidst the varying army already out to get Ciri.

While the creators are attempting a “lore-accurate” transition for Geralt, Rience did not enjoy any such privileges. Perhaps it is because his face is half burned. And Sam Woolf, who will now be playing with fire instead, is a pretty convincing actor. Despite being new, Woolf shook the ground with his intimidating persona as Rience in the short clip shared during the TUDUM event.
The actor, while not the main lead in any project, seems not a new face for fans of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Moreover, he has his fingers dipped in gold as Netflix has a Crown prepared for him.
