Blake Lively, having been the ultimate 'It' girl of Hollywood for a while now, is a star that fans wish to see not just once at theaters but time and again in the comfort of their homes as well. While her latest project with Justin Baldoni has wreaked havoc for reasons good and bad, depending upon which side of the Internet you are on, it is another one of Lively's projects that has tickled the fantasy of streamers.

For this fall, Netflix has decided to stir the pot with a familiar dish as it welcomes the season with drama, deceit, designer wardrobes, and endless gossip.

With It Ends With Us likely to find a home on Netflix once it is off the renting market, the OTT streamer is yet to run out of surprises for Blake Lively fans as it welcomes or more specifically welcomes back Gossip Girl to its platform. The epitome of high-class New York drama, Gossip Girl, will be available on Netflix from October 29 in the United States.

Having originally coined the binging currency with the array of choices it provided that allowed viewers to unwind at home with their favorite titles, old or new, the absence of Gossip Girl on the evergreen menu of Netflix always stung like a thorn. However, Netflix is now ready to say 'Welcome back Queen Serena' with its entire chest.

While viewers could not be any more delighted about the classic making its way back to the OTT Mogul, the constant on-and-off akin to that of a popular celebrity couple has made them curious about the reason behind the split in the first place.

Why did Netflix remove Gossip Girl?

Whether the OTT Mogul Netflix has a healthy sleeping cycle or does it wake up screaming curtsy of a nightmare where it is made to answer every 'why' and 'when' of its streamers as they scream about their favorite titles is unclear. However, that there will be one less angry fanbase in that nightmare was ensured when it repurchased the license to Gossip Girl, which the streamer had removed once its license had expired.

The 'toxic' relationship between Gossip Girl and Netflix, as fans have come to term it, is anything but as from time to time, Netflix has to shuffle its cards and rid of a few in order to make room for new ones. This is why from Gossip Girl to Friends, all the iconic shows often engage in a back and forth with the streamer.
