No Spotlight! King Charles’ Coronation Awaits Prince Harry and Meghan Markle but the Buckingham Palace Balcony Does Not

Prince Harry made clear in his memoir that he was treated like a spare all his life. And when Meghan Markle entered the Royal family in all her Hollywood glory, she too got the same treatment. Not from the media, but from the Royal family. If Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s confessions are to be believed, then the Royal family could not care less about them. But the media had a very different equation with the Sussexes. Meghan Markle, followed by her husband Prince Harry, became the center of every occasion.

From what she wore to who she waved at every minute detail was extensively covered. Whether the media coverage was good or bad will forever be up for discussion, but there is no hint of doubt about it being vast. This is why, nearly two years after Megxit, the biggest subject of discussion surrounding King Charles’ coronation is their attendance. However, a royal expert was quick on her pen to write that they will not be stealing the spotlight. And definitely not a seat on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

No official statements have been made by the palace, but a debate has already embarked about the Sussex stealing the spotlight. In fact, one of the biggest reasons to deny them an invitation to the coronation was that they would steal the spotlight. There are other conundrums King Charles found himself in regarding the Sussex’s coronation invite. However, a piece written by a royal expert in Vanity Fair has spared the Royal supporters of their worries.

She writes that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be taking away the spotlight as they won’t be seated in the Buckingham Palace balcony. The royal expert reasons that as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have spared themselves of their royal duties, they won’t be sitting on the balcony. Instead, they will likely get the princess treatment.

“It has already been agreed that only working royals will make a balcony appearance during the coronation. And sources have said that the focus will be on King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Princess Kate,” she wrote in her Vanity Fair article.

While royal fans are relieved, the Sussex supporters remain amused at the Palace’s attempts to outshine them. Although if the Royal family is willing to play with the ball, which Prince Harry claims is in their court, then perhaps they can make some space for the Sussexes on the giant Buckingham Palace balcony.
