Anna Sorokin clears her side of the story regarding Inventing Anna

Netflix is slowly but steadily showing the world the potential of the true-crime genre and how amazing it can be. And a prime example of that is Inventing Anna, which tells the story of Anna Delvey/Sorokin, who conned the people of New York and got them to give her hundreds of thousands of dollars. In the year 2019, Sorokin was found guilty of duping over 200,00 thousand dollars.

During a recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Anna Sorokin spoke about how real the whole dramatization was. Speaking over a video call with Alex Cooper from an ICE detention center in upstate New York, Anna addressed the hot question once and for all. Cooper asked her about whether the part where Anna posed as a German heiress was real or not. To which Sorokin replied with a clear, “no”.

When asked if she ever introduced herself as a German heiress, then also she denied it. “No one introduces themselves like that,” replied Sorokin. “Like, what kind of sentence is that? It’s completely ridiculous.”
