Disney calls Will Smith to play the role of Genie in Aladdin 2 

Putting water under the bridge, Disney has finally decided to bring back the fan-favorite Genie for another adventure. According to The Sun, Will Smith is set to reprise his role in the sequel to the 2019 film Aladdin.

“This would be one of the first movies Will has shot since the Oscars slap and it is quite surprising, given that it will be for a kids’ film,” an insider told The Sun.

So the creators have made up their minds to cast this iconic actor “back into the fold” and let the bad times be forgotten. And if you don’t know, the musical fantasy whopped more than $1 billion at the box office becoming the ninth highest-grossing film of 2019.

He said that working with him on Aladdin was an amazing experience and he would like to see him in the sequel.
