There is no Royal Member of the British Imperial Family who is untouched by media scandals and controversies. Be it the greatest and longest serving Sovereign, the late Queen, or her granddaughter-in-law the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton. In fact, since time immemorial, the most glorious of them are the ones who have always found themselves on receiving end of backlashes for matters untold. Recently, following the Boston trip, the Princess of Wales has once again become a target for the Tabloids.

 Soon after the 2023’s year-long engagements were officially announced by the Palace, it was noticed that the mother of three had the least number of Royal engagements with the number of meetings fixed at an unimpressive 90. The same raised a few eyebrows as Princess Anne was easily distinguished as the most hard-working member of the royal family who will have to attend as many as 214 engagements this year. 

Kate Middleton and Prince were both deemed fearful of work 

The same unusual course of events has brought back an age-old comment associated with Kate Middleton. Owing to her least number of royal engagements as one of the most important senior-most royal members of the Family she was labeled the “laziest” a few days ago. However, sources have dug deeper to come back with an even more unusual comment that says Kate Middleton along with her husband, Prince William are “workshy” 

Leaving behind the minimum of 90 was the Late Queen who also had a quick plaque unveiling to attend 151 meetings even after canceling some at the last minute. The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester who is not even considered the senior-most members of ‘The Firm’ also managed to pull a 100 and 90 respectively which is quite enough for their ranks in the administration. 

The alleged term taking its potshot at the Prince and the Princess of Wales dates back to the early 2000s according to Daily Mail. It was the era that saw juvenile celebrities transform leaving behind their routine party hookups to handling the Crown and its responsibilities. The two were then deemed as inefficient and workshy in their duties. Sadly, even after a decade the term somehow finds its way back to the future King and Queen of Britain.
