The Flashing Lights hitmaker has always raised the bar with his incredible lyricism and production skills. Furthermore, Ye has given the audience some of the most iconic songs and albums. While his individual catalog of music is massive, the rapper has also worked with and met several renowned singers. And a few years ago, Steve Lacy opened up about his experience of the time he met Ye.

Steve Lacy is an R&B visionary. The Dark Red hitmaker is a popular name in the music industry and his popularity among the masses is sharply growing. And interestingly, the singer has a clear memory of the time he collaborated with Kanye West., Lacy was all praises for Ye’s dedication and passion towards music. While promoting his album Gemini Rights back in 2018, Lacy spoke to TMZ as he revealed that Ye “never stops” in the studio.

Many of you might now know but both Ye and Lacy have a common sun sign, Gemini. The duo, along with Lil Uzi Vert, got matching tattoos on their hand that read, “We here forever technically.” Interestingly, the trio got the phrase tattooed as a reference to their longevity of their music. Lacy spoke how as artists the art remains even years after they pass away. As of late, Lacy and Ye have not collaborated officially for any project.

However, while speaking to TMZ, the Bad Habit singer added that he was just going with the flow and enjoyed his budding friendship with Ye. While the duo have no official songs together, Ye was all praises for Lacy following the release of his album.

Soon after the release of Lacy’s album Gemini Rights, Ye took to Instagram as he commented below Lacy’s post. The rapper praised the album, calling it beautiful. Ye also labeled Lacy as one of the most inspiring people on the planet.
