Netflix’s Promotional Video for ‘3 Body Problem’ Divides the Internet Just Days After Its Release
Recently, Netflix has been on a hot streak with its platform releases. From new shows to classic films, the streamer has managed to have it all. Its most recent addition was 3 Body Problem which made its way to the streaming library just a couple of days ago. With the show newly released, the media company decided to promote the film on social media to get the attention of various netizens. However, it seems to have worked and backfired at the same time.
In a post to X (formerly Twitter), the streamer shared a clip from its recently released series. The video featured the first contact from an alien race. While no wonders were uttered, the scene gave off an intense air that left fans wondering what could happen next. After being warned not to respond to their signal, a younger version of Rosalind Chao's Ye Wenjie continued to send out an answer without a second thought after watching the state of the world crumble.

While some fans loved the stress-filled scene, not everyone seemed to share that sentiment. In fact, some viewers had thought that the promotional clip only hyped up an over-rated and rather boring show. However, once the clip made its way online, social media users could not help but share their opinions on what they had seen so far.
With eight brand new episodes on Netflix and no word on whether the show will be renewed, the hype surrounding the series could make or break its popularity.
Netizens torn over Netflix's 3 Body Problem
Just like with any Netflix post, after the promotional video for 3 Body Problem made its way online, it was followed by a slew of different tags and tweets about how the show was. While the streaming giant had just been trying to let the world know that the show was now available in their library, fans took to the comments to share their thoughts on the intense attention-catching scene and the show.
While some social media users seemed to love the creativity of the project and the storyline, others did not seem pleased by the whole thing.

Some users were offended by some insinuations of the series that had strayed rather far away from the book by Liu Cixin.
While everyone seems to have their thoughts on the latest Netflix addition, it looks like most fans are looking forward to the series being renewed for another season. However, they might have to wait anywhere from a couple of months to the end of the year to see what the future holds for 3 Body Problem.
