Over the past months, the question surrounding the Harry & Meghan Netflix deal and the anticipation around the documentary have grown tremendously. After the Megxit, which was a phenomenon no one was expecting to witness, received the icing on the cake with the couple making an appearance on Oprah, fans only wanted to know more.

Akin to how you try a new delicacy and it becomes your staple order following that, the audience for more reasons than one cannot get enough of Harry and Meghan. There is something about getting to know what goes inside the royal family, from two people who were such pivotal parts of it and given how things are unrolling will continue to do so, that is very intriguing. Given the fact that the couple’s appearance on the Oprah interview brought in more than 17 million views for CBS, the OTT Mughal knew that it was signing up for popularity with the Harry & Meghan documentary. And the recent announcement is proof of it.

The streaming giant released a short teaser that made one thing very clear: the documentary is Harry & Meghan unfiltered and in their own words. But more than the contents of the teaser, which are mostly black and white images, the timing has caught the attention of the audiences.

The Netflix announcement of the documentary has split the audience into two halves. One is pro-Mehan Markle and Prince Harry whereas the other believes that the couple has a hate agenda against the royal family.

Following the release of the Harry & Meghan teaser, one part of the audience has stood up in support of Meghan Markle after seeing an image of her crying. But the other half has raised questions about the timing of the announcement.

The Prince and Princess of Whales have constantly been pitted against the Duke and Duchess of Sussex despite the title is awfully clear. And many have now accused the couple of deliberately releasing the teaser right when Prince William and Kate Middleton are about to go on a Boston trip. While it is unclear if this was a deliberate attempt, this is definitely great noise marketing.
