In 2021, Andrew Garfield starred in the American biographical musical film Tick, Tick… Boom! playing the role of Jonathan Larson. The actor received an Academy Award nomination for his incredible performance in the movie. Based on George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four, the film revolved around Larson who was a promising young talent in New York’s theatrical community.

Despite his talent, the character was disappointed in himself for how slowly his career was moving when he almost turned 30. Critics and viewers have praised its vital plotline and holds an approval rating of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes. The same goes for Spider-Man: No Way Home, which became the sixth-highest-grossing film of all time and the most successful Spider-Man film upon its release.
