Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are making it to the headlines for both good and bad reasons because of their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan. The show that promises raw and unfiltered truth captured the Duke and Duchess in both their happy and vulnerable times. In the first volume, the royal couple aggressively went after the UK media. They slammed the press for running an agenda against them and the constant intrusion of privacy.

It is no surprise that the show forms a part of the Sussexes’ $100 million deal with the American streaming giant. Months after their exit as senior royals, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hit a jackpot with Netflix. Their Archewell Productions is expected to produce children’s shows, docuseries, fiction, and non-fiction content under the much-talked-about deal. The docuseries is the first installment by the Duke and Duchess. However, there is a threat looming over the future of the collaboration between Netflix and the Sussex royals.

What is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s next project with Netflix?

The second volume of Harry & Meghan will hit the television screens on December 15. Following that, the couple is likely to prepare for the release of their show related to Invictus Games. Prince Harry has already filmed for the show and it is under editing. As per The Sun, it will be the last project by the Duke and Duchess for Netflix. The sources have suggested that the American streaming giant is not keen on extending the collaboration further.

The reason for the same is unknown. Neither Netflix nor Archewell Productions have made any comment on the rumors floating in the industry. Meanwhile, it might surprise you that Harry & Meghan is not the first project that the Sussexes wanted to release on the platform. Meghan Markle was all set to produce a children’s animation show called Pearl. However, the streamer bosses shelved the show earlier this year due to budget constraints and a continuous dip in subscribers.

A few days before the release of the docuseries, a Netflix source had spoken about the collaboration with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He was quoted as saying, “We value our partnership with Archewell Productions and are excited to share Harry & Meghan the series with the world. We continue to work together on a number of projects, including the upcoming documentary series Heart of Invictus.”
